Atlantic High Wins Seventh Annual Brain Bee Competition

An Atlantic High school trio took home the first place prize at the seventh annual Brain Bee.

The Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience hosted the contest. Students were challenged on topics including learning and memory, emotion, sensation, movement, aging, neurobiology, brain anatomy and neural disorders.

Sponsored by the Mary and Robert Pew Public Education Fund, each student in the top three teams received a gift card. In addition, the first-place team, made up of Winston Cheung, David Young and Raghu Radhakrishnan from Atlantic Community High School in Delray Beach, will shadow an MPFI scientist for a day.
