The Henry Morrison Flagler DAR Chapter celebrated Veterans Day by treating women veterans to a day of indulgence.
Women veterans were treated to a day of pampering by NSpa to celebrate their service to America followed by lunch at 50 Ocean. Gifts were donated by NSpa, Sequin, Spodak Dental and flowers by From Roehm with Love.
“In the military, our hands are used for rough duties; our feet march miles in combat boots; our faces are hit with sun, wind, cold and heat; our muscles really ache. The manicures, pedicures, facials and massages were wonderful! It was so intuitive of the Chapter Ladies to know that we would really appreciate being treated to feminine pampering. And we were treated!” Colonel (Retired) Eileen Watson, U.S. Army said.
The women were also honored by the city alongside several wounded warriors during a ceremony and brunch at Veterans Park.
The Honorary Women Veterans were Eileen Watson, Colonel (Retired) U.S. Army, Donna Artola, Petty Officer Second Class – U.S. Navy, Maxine Bodman, Yeoman First Class – U.S. Navy WWII, Dawn Dacey, Sergeant – U.S. Air Force, Susan Hellyer, Airman – U.S. Air Force, Jean Mahoney, Mate First Class – U.S. Navy WWII, Kelli Morrison, Sergeant First Class – U.S. Army, Melva Harris Rozier, Sergeant – U.S. Army, Tamara Tula, Sr. Airman – U.S. Air Force and Marian Wells, Tech Sergeant – U.S. Air Force.
“Daughters of the American Revolution Chapters focus on three important objectives in their communities: Education, Historic Preservation and Patriotism.
