Starting in October, the Delray Beach Public Library begins a new season of authors speaking on a variety of subjects as part of our popular Authors Series. Don’t miss these opportunities!
Thursday, October 11th @ 2:00pm Author Elaine Bossik of Boynton Beach will read selections and discuss her latest novel “The Last Victim” that tells the story about a Jewish- American family’s trials, triumphs, and tragedies. Saturday, October 13th @ 2:00pm Chemistry Professor Dr. Rose Mary Stiffin of Miami Gardens will present a program about her debut novel “Walk in Bethel.” It is a multigenerational family saga of two clans in Indianola, Mississippi, the Thompsons and the Suttons spanning over 90 years and provides the reader with an intimate and honest look at the lives of various friends and relatives of these two families.
Wednesday, October 17th @ 2:00pm Boynton Beach author Barbara Erlichman will present a program titled “One of a Kind.” It asks what would happen if a rare coin was discovered and put up for auction. This book weaves together four plot lines surrounding the auction of a one-of-a- kind coin. Monday, October 22nd @ 2:00pm As part of our Centennial Series celebrating the 100th birthday of the Delray Beach Public Library, Delray Beach playwright, columnist and author Carol White will present a program on her new book “From One Place to Another” which features several local places in Delray Beach.
Wednesday, October 24th @ 2:00pm Melbourne’s Marshall Frank, author, classical violinist & retired captain from the Metro-Dade Police Department in Miami, will present a program titled: “The Upside to Murder: Transposing True Life to Fiction.” These programs are free and open to the public.
