DELRAY BEACH, FL — Say hello to 75 Main Delray, which debuted on Thursday, April 12, 2012, in the former Cugini space on Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach. This enticing new restaurant and lounge is the creation of dynamic 31-year-old restaurateur Zach Erdem, who also owns the popular 75 Main in tony Southampton, New York. A celebrity favorite, his Hamptons eatery consistently draws a myriad of bold-faced names, including Alec Baldwin, Madonna, Pierce Brosnan, Leo DiCaprio, Kevin Bacon, Jennifer Lopez, Ed Westwick, Mickey Rourke, Jodie Foster, Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan from “The Real Housewives of New York,” the Kardashian sisters, and Vice President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill. Erdem, who searched for the right location throughout South Florida for over a year, is extremely pleased to have opened his second location in Delray Beach. He was drawn to this charming seaside community’s vibrant mix of dining, shopping, and cultural amenities. Erdem notes, “Delray Beach is a special place and the perfect spot for my new restaurant and lounge. 75 Main Delray combines a touch of Hamptons sophistication with a definitive dose of South Florida hospitality. We look forward to welcoming old friends and making new friends in the community.” Erdem tapped talented local toque John Thomas to compile a mouthwatering menu that executes his vision of contemporary American cuisine with Mediterranean accents. There is plenty of fresh fish and seafood, sizzling steaks, gourmet sliders, refreshing salads, inventive sandwiches, and nifty vegan and vegetarian options, for brunch, bar bites, Happy Hour, and dinner, daily. 75 Main also offers plenty of decadent desserts, including chocolate molten lava cake, Key Lime pie, low-cal ricotta cheesecake, chocolate mousse, tarte tatin, and a sweet selection of sorbet and ice cream. There is also a sleek lounge with a sexy vibe, which features European DJs spinning a blend of house music from 10:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings. The full bar includes 85 wines, by the bottle, and about 15 wines by the glass, in addition to a terrific cocktail menu. The signature drink is the 75 Maintini, which will change each season, with the Spring version featuring Stoli Elite and passion fruit juice. The interior sports a luxe design replete with plush beige banquettes; mod, white leather Barcelona chairs; one wall featuring textured waves reminiscent of the ocean; dark, walnut-colored porcelain flooring; elegant chandeliers and sconces; and a chocolate-colored soapstone-topped bar surrounded by coordinating, high-top wooden stools. The crisp white walls are the perfect backdrop for a collection of original artwork, celebrating the female form, by noted artist Raphael Mazzucco. Located at 270 East Atlantic Avenue in the heart of downtown, the restaurant serves brunch, from 10:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., and dinner from 4:30 – 11:00p.m., daily.
