Call to Professional Artists Who Live or Work in Palm Beach County


The Cultural Council of Palm Beach County announced an open call to all professional artists who live or work in Palm Beach County for a chance to exhibit artworks in its upcoming County Contemporary: All Media Juried Show, scheduled to run June 14 – Sept. 7 in the Cultural Council’s main gallery, 601 Lake Avenue, in Lake Worth. Submissions are being accepted through May 8. Artists will be notified by May 20. For information, and to apply, visit To be eligible, artists must be of professional status and reside or have a studio in Palm Beach County. A professional artist is one who devotes a major portion of their time to creating, practicing, performing or teaching any of the arts. All artists who live and work in Palm Beach County, and are over the age of 18, may submit up to three (3) recent artworks in any media for a $35 application fee. An additional two (2) works may be included for $10 for each submitted entry. Work should be recent, from the past three (3) years. Cash prizes for the County Contemporary exhibition will be awarded in the following categories: Best of Show: $2,000; 2nd Place: $1,000; 3rd Place: $500; People’s Choice: $500. All works submitted by the deadline of 5 p.m. May 8, will be juried by: Mark Richard Leach, Executive Director, Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art, Winston- Salem, North Carolina.
