LAKE WORTH, FL – The Cultural Council of Palm Beach County invites the public to reserve a seat now for its final `Art on the Road’ bus tour of the season, taking place from 9:15 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. on Jan. 23, 2013. The Cultural Council’s December `Art on the Road Tour’ of artist studios and galleries in West Palm Beach was a complete sellout, and the Jan. 23 upcoming event is sure to be a repeat performance offering three exclusive stops in Palm Beach. “We are pleased to see such a great response to this unique invitation that allows us to educate the community with a behind- the-scenes look at how art is created, and to introduce them to a diverse, intriguing group of fascinating collectors and artists,” said Rena Blades, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County. Featured on the January 23 tour are: Holden Luntz Gallery – Holden Luntz Gallery exhibits a broad range of vintage and contemporary American and European photographers who have left a definitive mark on the development of the medium. Exhibitions have ranged from: Henri Cartier-Bresson, Brassai, Harry Benson, Berenice Abbott, Irving Penn, Jacques Henri Lartigue, Julius Shulman, Duane Michels and Horst P. Horst. Gavlak Gallery – Noticing that there were few galleries presenting top international contemporary artists to serve such art collectors, Sarah Gavlak, owner of Gavlak Gallery embarked on pioneering such a space in November of 2005. Over the next four years Gavlak presented solo exhibitions of many prominent artists as well as themed group exhibitions organized around the idea of putting contemporary art within an art historic context. Private Collection – A visit to a private collection in Palm Beach. Admission to `Art on the Road’ is $50; $40 for members of the Cultural Council.
