Staff report

The city of Delray Beach’s auditor has submitted her resignation.

Julia Davidyan’s last day with the city will be Jan. 13.

Her resignation letter states:

“The associations I’ve made during my employment here will truly be memorable for years to come. Although working with you and City staff has been a pleasure, due to certain personal reasons my presence and full attention is required elsewhere. Thank you for your support and understanding in this matter. I am wishing everyone success in their future endeavors.”

The auditor position was added after voters approved a referendum on an election ballot in 2016. The commission hired Davidyan in 2018. She received a merit increase raise in Oct.

The auditor serves at the pleasure of a majority of commissioners and reports directly to commissioners.
