Entertainment Execs Buzz the Biz on Showbiz at TalentFest 365


DELRAY BEACH – A panel of producers, talent scouts, directors, agents, actors and educators set the stage this weekend on how to navigate the challenging entertainment industry. TalentFest 365 provides aspiring talent from Florida the opportunity to meet, network and interview in a non-competitive environment with the Top 20 Florida Model & Talent Agencies and Casting Directors from Miami, Orlando, Naples and Tampa. The event is supported by the Palm Beach County Film Office. Registration kicks off 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 7 and Sunday, January 8 at Old School Square in Delray Beach for this in-depth program for those who want to model, act, sing, dance, produce or just get the “know how” on the entertainment industry or fast-track a career. TalentFest 365 runs from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on both days. During the second day, each talent will get the chance to interview with 20 model and talent agencies, managers or casting directors, who have been screened and approved to attend TalentFest 365. Executive Director Gregory James Blount of Sound Tree Entertainment opens TalentFest 365 on Saturday with special guest star Michelle Hillery of the Palm Beach Film Office and actor Dan Andrews. After attending TalentFest 365, Andrews signed with eight agencies from around the state. Andrews has appeared in more than 100 national, regional and local commercials. “This is an opportunity to get the inside scoop on how to guide your career,” said Blount.  “It’s not too often you find an array of professionals in one setting who will answer questions and give direction on the business of talent and entertainment. Our seminars will be led by those who are highly regarded in their trades. ” Entertainment attorney Joseph Spiriti of Caserta & Spiriti Law Firm will help to demystify contracts, while casting director Ellen Jacoby will explain her role in the industry. Greg Hauptner, founder of G-Star School of the Arts, will discuss the future of the entertainment industry; retired NFL Football Player Reggie Givens of Blitz Fitness will give advice on fitness; Lena Jarborg of Tzikas Facial Plastic Surgery Center Topics will talk about skin care; while Spa Eleven’s celebrity stylist Joe Ardagna will help with hair. Dr. Liz Knowles of Learning RX and Frank George, an acting teacher/coach with Sound Tree Entertainment, will bring even more educational pieces with their presentations, elaborating on “The Trained Actor & the Power of Cognitive Training Skills.”  Sound Tree Entertainment’s wardrobe expert, Barbara Smoliak, will share her experience dressing the stars.
