Fire-Rescue Headquarters Open House

Have you ever wondered what the skills are to be firefighters in the City of Delray Beach?  Would you like to watch firefighters demonstrate their training by rappelling off a 100 foot ladder truck?  How would you like to see how firefighters would cut you out of a car if you were trapped after an accident? You can see all of this and much more at the upcoming Fire-Rescue Open House on Saturday, January 19, 2013, between 10:00am and 1:00pm, at the City of Delray Beach Fire-Rescue Headquarters (Station #1), 501 West Atlantic Avenue.  In addition to the demonstrations by the fire department, attendees will be able to take part in the following activities/demonstrations:

  • Demonstrations by the Delray Beach Police Department SWAT Team and K-9 Team
  • Free fingerprinting for children
  • Blood pressure checks for all residents
  • Information on disaster preparedness from your local Community Emergency Response Team
  • Information booths by local city and county agencies
  • Free food and refreshments
  • Much, much, more!!!

We look forward to seeing everyone, young and old, at the Open House event.  For more information, contact Captain Curtis Jepsen at (561) 243-7456 or by E-mail at Location: Fire-Rescue Fire Station #1 501 W. Atlantic Avenue
