Vincent P. Nolan assumed his new position as the Delray Beach Economic Development Director in October, at the start of the city’s new fiscal year. Although he’s still fairly new to town, he’s already making strides to keep Delray’s economic growth on track for the future. After taking what seemed like only a few days to review the CRA’s economic development incentive programs, Nolan pushed for modifications to two programs, which the CRA board approved on Oct. 27th and recruited the CRA’s first successful applicant under the Job Creation Bonus Program. In addition to helping the CRA retool its existing incentives, he’s also working to develop more resources to promote business expansion and retention. Look for Vin around town—he makes regular appearances at City Hall, the Chamber of Commerce, a variety of committee meetings, and performances at the Arts Garage. And, in true Delray Beach style, he’s exploring the restaurants, shops, and nightlife that the downtown has to offer. A Certified Economic Developer (CEcD), Nolan brings more than 13 years of economic development and finance experience to his new role in Delray Beach. Most recently, he was the Supervisor of Economic Development for New Milford, Conn. While there, he also served on the board of directors for the nonprofit Connecticut Economic Development Association.
