Delray Beach commissioners unanimously selected Mark Lauzier to serve as the city’s next city manager.

They will make the deal official if they approve the terms of his contract with the city today at 6 p.m. in City Hall.

Lauzier is poised to make $235,000 per year and receive a $650 per month car allowance, per the terms of the 10-page contract.

He has already executed the contract. Commissioners will have to approve it before he can begin with the city next month. His start date per the contract is Nov. 6.

The contract states the city will provide a housing allowance for six months totaling $2,500 per month. The city will also help with relocation costs up to $25,000. If Lauzier resigns before he hits the year mark, he will have to repay the city for the moving fees, according to the contract.
