Public Invited to Free Film on Climate Change Awareness


The City of Delray Beach and the Delray Beach Public Library invite the public to an evening presentation of the film “Climate Refugees” to promote climate change awareness and sustainable solutions on Tuesday, July 23, 2013, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, in the Delray Beach Public Library’s Auditorium, 100 West Atlantic Avenue. The event is free and open to the public. “Climate Refugees” is an award-winning film that details the devastating impact that climate change can have upon millions of people globally. Following the movie, a panel of local experts will address questions and concerns about how their local leaders are reacting to and preparing for the threat of climate change. The panel, moderated by Delray Beach Sustainability Officer/Public Information Officer Richard Reade, is scheduled to include:

  • Erin Deady, Esq., Counsel to Corbett, White & Davis, P.A.
  • Victor Williams, Delray Beach Assistant Fire Chief
  • Captain Curtis Jepsen, Fire Rescue Public Information/Education Officer
