Get ready to experience Delray Beach like a true local, and hop on board a culinary “chew chew” for the bite of your life. How? This month, beginning Saturday, May 3rd, and continuing the third Friday of each month starting May 16th, Savor the City’s “Taste of Atlantic Avenue” tour will begin a true epicurean adventure across downtown Delray Beach. Named “The Most Fun Small Town In The U.S.” by Rand McNally, Delray Beach’s Village by the Sea is brimming with charm, culture and — well, taste. And the “Taste Atlantic Ave.” tour is an entertaining food and cultural walking tour you won’t want to miss. The tour will introduce you to some of the best restaurants and specialty shops on the famous “Atlantic Avenue” strip, our very own charming streetscape filled with upscale shops, fine restaurants and nightly entertainment. On this distinctive three-hour walking tour you can meet the food artisans who represent some of the best restaurants and specialty food shops in the city. They will take us behind the scenes and share with us the history and inspiration behind the various multi cultural cuisines we sample during the tour. Savor the City will also offer a “Pineapple Grove” tour, the third Thursday of every month in conjunction with Artist’s Alley, where local artists open their studios and galleries to the public. Reservations are strongly recommended. The cost is $65 per person. The tours take place every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and on Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. For more information email info@SavorTheCity.info, or call 954-410-3177.
