SloBody Celebrates 2014 in Delray Beach with Grand Welcoming and Ribbon Cutting

Less than a year after SloBody – conditioning infused yogaTM – first opened its doors in Delray Beach, the personalized and high-caliber tutelage of founders Kirk Slobody and Janine Tiede, continues to influence and change the way South Floridians are seeing both yoga and fitness today. SloBody – which Strengthens, Lengthens, and Opens the Body – kicked off 2014 with a ribbon cutting ceremony featuring the Greater Delray Chamber of Commerce. The Grand Welcoming event at SloBody’s studio at 209 NE 5th Terrace in Delray Beach, featured a ribbon cutting with the Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce as well as a tour and history of SloBody’s facility, a meet-and-greet with the founders as well as students, photos from classes and events over the past year, raffles courtesy of numerous local Delray Beach establishments, and delicious and healthy refreshments and food. “Our welcome to the Delray Beach community over this past year has been truly wonderful,” said co-founder Tiede. “Now it’s our turn to thank the local businesses that have supported us, the community that has adopted us, and our students who have dedicated themselves to the practice of SloBody.” SloBody is also using the Grand Welcoming party as an opportunity to introduce a variety of new offerings including its new TheraStrech (Therapeutic Stretch) class and new “Ramp Up” program. Designed to get folks the best results possible out of their group training program in the shortest amount of time, TheraStretch is geared to those with limited mobility, new to yoga and stretching, and/or deconditioned. The Ramp Up program is for all new SloBody students and consists of a consultation and three 30- min private training sessions. Former NCAA Division I athletes, Certified Personal Trainers, Yoga Instructors and Masters at breaking movement down, Kirk Slobody and Janine Tiede, created SloBody. By stripping Yoga to the essence of what makes it great exercise and blending it with old school conditioning (squats, lunges, core work, push-ups) they created a unique workout that builds: strength, awareness, balance, flexibility, and mobility.
