Tim Finnegan’s Irish Pub is the Best Bite winner.
Crane’s Beach House Boutique Hotel & Luxury Villas hosted the 6th Annual Best Bite Restaurant Competition where 250 hungry guests sampled tastes from seven local restaurants all vying for the Best Bite title.
The event raised $3,000 for the HOW Foundation of South Florida and Project Holiday. The nonprofits, which work with veterans, split the money evenly.
Seven local restaurants offered a variety of delicious taste sensations as they competed for the title of Best Bite for Vets. This year, restaurants had two ways to win: by popular vote of the attendees, and by designation from a group of celebrity judges including former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Mark Duper. Food blogger Shaina Wizov from Take a Bite Out of Boca served as MC.
Tim Finnegan’s Irish Pub in Delray Beach, which finished in second place in 2016, won the popular vote this year, edging out three-peat winner Caffe Luna Rosa, with Zorba’s Taverna coming in third. The VIP Judges selected Avant Delray as their favorite restaurant.
The other competing restaurants were Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza, City Oyster & Sushi Bar and Pizza Rustica.
