Join the City of Delray Beach Parks and Recreation Department for two exciting day trips in February and March: a day cheering on the Miami Marlins during a spring training game and a day driving through safari. February 18, 2012, Lion Country Safari Day Trip On February 18th, Join Parks and Recreation at Lion Country Safari, Florida’s only drive through safari and walk through amusement park. All ages are invited to spend the day on safari with over 900 animals. With animal displays and encounters, animal feeding experiences, 6 rides, water spray ground, food, shopping and more, you are sure to have a memorable experience. Lunch is included. Full payment required for advanced reservations. Cost for Delray Beach Residents is $25 per person and for non-residents $35 per person, which includes bus ride, lunch and park admission. Bus seating is limited!!! City Bus leaves from Veterans Park at 9:00 am and will return at approximately 4:00 pm. March 24, 2012, Miami Marlins Spring Training, Roger Dean Stadium Enjoy a pre-season baseball game between the Miami Marlins and the Boston Red Sox at Roger Dean Stadium on March 24th. Cost for Delray Beach Residents is $50 and $60 for Nonresidents, which include admission seats are behind home plate, $10 food voucher and City bus ride. Since Roger Dean is an outdoor stadium please dress for the weather. Concessions are available at the stadium for lunch and you will have a $10 food voucher to use while you are there. City Bus leaves from Veterans Park at 11:30am and will return at approximately 5:00 pm. Advanced reservations and payment are required for all bus trips and bus seating is limited.
